We create the moments that make life worth remembering.
An operator turned developer, from the floor of a Disney park to a €3.1Bn destination.
What changed the way you see places?
I started with a creative mindset, focused on storytelling and the emotions an experience could create. Over time, I realized that what makes people happy can also be a powerful driver of business performance. Today, I approach every new concept by first understanding its potential to attract, engage and generate value, before investing in its development.
What makes a place worth developing?
It’s about understanding how people use a place today, while anticipating how their needs and expectations will evolve. The real challenge is creating destinations that can host different experiences, encourage repeat visits and adapt to new ways of living and consuming. That flexibility needs to make economic sense from the start. Ultimately, a place’s long-term value depends on what it can become tomorrow.
Who are we really competing with?
I believe our biggest competitor isn’t necessarily another destination. It’s everything competing for people’s time and attention. Technology makes our lives easier, yet streaming, smartphones and digital entertainment also make staying home more appealing than ever. Our challenge is to create places compelling enough for people to step away from their screens, come together and make memories in the real world.
